What I learned from Brian
It is difficult to distil the impact of a person who has written 70 books. His words have always had an impact. The one closest to me is “Luck is predictable. If you want to be lucky, take more chances, show up more often”. His book “Eat that Frog” and its philosophy of getting your most important work done first thing in the morning has been my personal productivity mantra for years.

What I learned from Daniel:
Without a doubt, his book Drive and its central theme of what motivates people made a huge impression on me. The premise is very simple: what would motivate me? I would like the freedom to do things which are meaningful and in a way which I want and feel free. If it works, I would like to get better at it. Isn’t this what most would want? I love this framework. I love the pinkcasts, which are available on his website, which are short snackable content.

I find the Flywheel an excellent guide for leaders but what I love most is that it places Trust as the hub. Authenticity has become a big differentiator for leaders today and will remain so in the future. Doug brings out Trust as the secret ingredient which makes leadership a winning habit.

LaRae Quy was an FBI counterintelligence and undercover agent who exposed foreign spies and recruited them to work for the U.S. Government. A good FBI counterintelligence investigation uncovers new information about the spy to gain deeper insights into what influences their behavior and attitudes. LaRae’s job was to dig beneath the surface, probe the unknown, and discover their identity. In the process, she ended up knowing more about the foreign spy than they knew about themselves.
LaRae was born and raised on a cattle ranch in Wyoming where she learned many of the survival skills she would need as an FBI agent. After twenty years as an undercover and counterintelligence agent, LaRae became the spokesperson for the FBI in Northern California for four years. What I learned from LaRae
If there is one person who personifies Grit for me, it is LaRae. From her upbringing to her tough training and tougher experience in FBI, she came out with flying colors with her Grit and native wisdom. She shares it all through her blog and her work.
