Do you know where you are headed?
What is the direction of your life?
Have you charted it?
Is your ship’s rudder firmly in the direction of growth or
is it floating aimlessly in the stormy ocean waves,
waiting to sink?
How often do we cram our daily lives
with to-do lists and checklists to tick off
only to feel at the end of the day
some kind of emptiness
or maybe a buzz of busyness
How often are we racing from
one meeting to another or
maybe from one airport to another
and suddenly wondering
“Where am I?”
This incessant speed, frantic pace
is not taking us anywhere
it is only racing to ill-health
physical and mental
This chase only ends in despair
If you don’t know where you are going,
Yogi Berra
you might end up somewhere else
Direction is more important than Momentum
Set a direction to your life
find your Dharma
Your Dharma need not be about
solving the problem of cancer or
finding a solution for world peace
It could be about being established
in inner peace
to be always
in a balanced state of mind
Practice of such a mental state
and staying in it
is also a worthy purpose
