As a child, what did you want to become as a grown up?
As a child, I wanted to be one studying the stars
later I found that it is called an astrophysicist
I would gaze up at the stars and ask all kind of questions to my father who did his best to answer it
Later I read a lot about the big bang and
latest theories in cosmic science
and serendipity made me land up
in finance and then marketing
It’s not necessary that
what you dream about
when you are a child
is what you will become
Many of us may have wanted to be
a sportsman or
a singer or
a painter artist or
fireman
and we chose the path
which came in front of us
with the help of friends
whatever point in your life
or career you find yourself
now what’s most important
is to experiment with various things
Allow Serendipity to play its game and
eventually land on that
one thing which drives you
Your one thing for the year
will drive what you do
in a month, week, day
What you do every hour could be different
Your one thing creates that focus
and the ability to say no
to the various distractions which will come
If you are clear about
your Dharma then
this becomes easier
One thing becomes clearer
by always asking the question
“What is my Dharma in the moment?”
and then doing it with full excellence
It is our dharma to do whatever
we have set out to do
in the next 1 hour or
week or month
without distractions and
for that hour, day, week
that is your one thing
