School brings up mixed memories:
some sweet, some not so
What is common is
the definite structure it created
you did studies, you did well and
you would go to the next division and
so on for 10 years or more
There was a clear path to move forward
and certainty to what you did
Life unfortunately is anything but certain
Life is often looking across
the chasm of unknown
facing one’s fears and
taking the leap
By nature
Past is definite
Future is unknown
and we have to leave and
let go of the past
to embrace the future
Even if it is a ladder of success
we need to let go of
the first step to reach the next step
If the ship of your destiny
has to sail into
the unknown waters of the future
you have to leave the comfort
and certainty of the shore
and wade into the waters
with courage and curiosity
Being guided by your north star when it’s dark
and directed by your values
across the ocean of experience

to explore
