Will you create opportunities for yourself?

Create opportunities for oneself

Sebastian Maniscalco

We live in times where
we are packed with things to do.

We need to check messages and
mails first thing in the morning,

check how many likes
we got for our posts,
compare with earlier posts,
so much stress!

We are forced to multitask eg
stuffing your face while
running out of the door,
speaking to the uber driver
while hurriedly wearing your shoes
and then pressing
the lift call button repeatedly.
So much stress!

We are forced to go
from meetings to meetings
or calls to calls as
we deliver the mission, vision,
targets, goals
either self-made or
given by others

that we don’t have time at all,
to do what we absolutely
love doing ie watching Netflix and
then getting all worked
about the ending of GOT

In between meetings or
waiting for someone,
when that terrifying doubt comes up

“what if the battery
runs out in the middle of the day?”

No not that one

This one
“What am I doing here?”
“If only I had time or situation,
I could follow my passion”

2 mins of deep anguish and
then back to
checking messages or
scrolling the social media feed

Sebastian Maniscalco on James Altucher podcast
“Create opportunities. Don’t wait for situations”

Here is a person who waited tables
at Four Seasons during the day and
then did 4 to 5 open mic sessions
every night for 8 long years
before he turned
into a professional stand up comedian

Today,

What experiments will you run
on the side to create
opportunities for yourself?
