What does Let Go mean practically?

let go santosh kanekar

“If I let go, what happens to ambition or progress or growth?
Bad Advice!”

When we say “Let Go”
what are we asking to “let go”?

Are we talking about attachments to
material items eg cars, houses, gadgets, wealth
or relationships, goals, objectives, success?

How can we let go of these items
and be “successful” in life?

If we want to be in the “human doing” mode
we may want these markers to
decide on whether we are “successful” or not

We also know, deep down,
that as soon as we “chase” these items
it’s a never ending cycle of euphoria
followed by despair

For some time, it feels great
as you achieve whatever you set out
but eventually, we all face the emptiness
of holding what we desired in our hand
because desire is a never ending pit

More importantly,
If want to make the shift to
“Human being”
after all that is what we are born for
we need to let go of
IDENTIFICATION

The daily noise of “I-me-mine”
because all suffering is a result of
this identification

When we say “Let Go”
we mean let go of the Identification

It’s only when we detach from our
artificial self or Ego
we start seeing things for what they are
we start experiencing people, events with clarity
we start experiencing reality
the way it actually is

Today,

Ask yourself
What action will you take
to reduce the identification
even if in a small way?
