Are you a manufacturer or a Sculptor?

sculptor santosh kanekar

How do you approach work or a task?

A manufacturer has an end goal in mind.
She knows her journey
from Point A to Point B and
all the steps in between.

She gathers and organizes
men, material and money
to go from Point A to Point B.

Her direction and output
both are clear and
she does not stop till she gets there.

A sculptor wants the statue to reveal itself.
She has a clear idea of
what tools she will use and
how she will approach her work.

She may spend a long time,
getting the right men and material,
to work with dedication.

Money is means to an end and not the goal.

She chisels everyday and
goes all around the block of the stone,
totally absorbed,
with curiosity and focus.

What does your day, week or year look like?

Does it look like a manufactured item
sharp, clear edges,
every day looking the same as the another

Or

Like a sculpture
beautiful, chiselled, roughness
and finesse co-exist and
no two days are the same
